Just a Quickie...
It's Saturday so the studio is dark today, but I have a quick post nonetheless as a result of yesterday's momentous decision. I canceled my airline tickets to Vegas, canceled the order I placed for the plastic container, and I am now driving out. 1972 miles to Vegas. Each way. Whoo hoo.

Watch out for blizzards...
you know, i enjoyed my cross country drive. just be really well prepared. take lots of snacks and water, blankets, you know the drill...and hey, they have free wi-fi at a lot of the rest stops out in the middle of nowheresville, texas.
Sounds like a nice drive. Jump on I20 and run to the Texas/Mexico border and hit I10 then on over to Arizona and you are there. Watch your speed between Odessa, TX and El Paso. They have a new posted speed limit of 80 days and 65 nights. I was out there this week and they weren't giving much leaway on the 80 MPH. Saw several cars pulled over. Besides 80 is fast enough if its legal. I drove 2111 miles since Tue and I am back at home today. Also we use the mats from Sam's. You can get them in grey in the auto department or in the outdoor area you can get mixed colors. They are cheap enough that if they get too dirty or wet at a show and we can't dry them out, we throw them away and buy more. Good luck in Vegas.

Hmmm. the route Google Maps gave me sends me west on 40 through Memphis, Oklahoma City, Amarillo and Albuquerque...
You are right, I checked my AAA and also McNally tripmaker and both of them show up thru memphis and onto I 40. Just remember that you are going thru the mountains and just like last weekend, Snow can happen. Good Luck.
